Ryan Moffitt (R)

• Biography

  I am a proud husband to my wife, Ashley (of 10 years), and father to our two sons, John Ryan, 7, and Robert, 5, in second grade and kindergarten, respectively, at Smith Elementary.

  I was raised in Burlington by two faithful, devoted and hard-working parents. My father spent his career in the agribusiness and veterinary pharmaceutical industry and my mother served a 30-plus year career serving Alamance County children and families as a pediatrician with Burlington Pediatrics.

  I am a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church-Burlington, where I was a member and Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 17. I am a proud graduate of the Alamance-Burlington School System, attending Smith Elementary, Turrentine Middle and Williams High School.

  I earned a BS in Economics (finance concentration) from the College of Charleston, and my law degree from Elon University School of Law. I practice law in Burlington with The Vernon Law Firm in the areas of business, real estate and estate planning. I’ve served the community through the Alamance District of the Boy Scouts, on the Board of the Alamance Community Foundation, and as Chair of both the Alamance Chamber and the Alamance County Economic Development Foundation.
